Nanyang textile industry regains its footing

Affected by fluctuations in international and domestic cotton prices and the economic downturn, the textile industry in Nanyang City, Henan Province, has been in trouble. Some small-scale textile enterprises have suffered from the unfavorable situation of capital chain breakage and rising costs, and were once in a state of production suspension or semi-discontinued production. Nanyang textile enterprises faced difficulties, explored new roads for development, demanded benefits from management, actively implemented measures of “three stables” and “four-savings”, and finally reversed the difficult situation of business operations and maintained the steady and healthy development of the industry.

Nanyang is the largest textile industry in Henan Province. The city currently has 234 textile enterprises above the designated size, 8,500 looms (sets), annual output of 2,340,600 spindles, 40.11 million meters of grey fabrics, and 32 million garments. The average annual sales revenue has reached 27.278 billion yuan. Since last year, through financial support from the central government, provinces and municipalities, and self-financing by enterprises, Nanyang textile enterprises have eliminated 256 sets of backward gauze machines and 640 new sets of advanced gauze machines at home and abroad. Newly expanded 23 projects including Xinye Huaxing Textile Co., Ltd., building 250,000 spindles of high-end specialty yarns, 500 high-grade air-jet looms, 200,000 spindles of high-grade yarns of Nanyang Textile Group, and 500 million yuan worth of investment in Dongguan Baijia Garment Industrial Park in Wolong District. With a total investment of 5.87 billion yuan, it is expected that it will be put into production by the end of this year, with an additional sales income of 8.2 billion yuan, which will lay a solid foundation for the rapid development of the textile industry in Nanyang. In the first four months of this year, the city’s textile industry has achieved an accumulated industrial added value of 5.46 billion yuan, an increase of 18% year-on-year, and the city's textile enterprises have steadily increased their profits.

"Three stabilizations" consolidate the "three stables" of the production base, namely, stable people, stable production, and stable marketing.

People are stable. To establish a corporate philosophy of “Caring for employees, fair and impartial, and more work and more symbiosis”, starting from increasing employee salaries and increasing employee salaries, increasing salaries for employees each year, and distributing condolences at major festivals, at the end of the year at 2,000 yuan. 100 yuan will be added for the year-end bonus. Production is stable. The billing rate of most of the company's orders has reached 99.5%, making the production “satisfaction” without stopping, especially in the situation where some small and micro enterprises have stopped production or semi-discontinued, large-scale backbone enterprises in Nanyang have remained stable. At the same time, in combination with technological transformation, we will further strengthen equipment management, integrate equipment efficiency, reduce labor intensity of employees, and strengthen quality assurance at all levels, pay close attention to process monitoring, and implement quality tracking control, on-line monitoring, and other quality work in all directions, so that cotton yarns can be put into storage. The first-class product rate reached 99.8%, and the first-class goods rate of grey cloth reached 94%, and the overall quality level was further improved.

Marketing stability. Based on the market demand, market strategy adjustment, product structure adjustment, production layout adjustment and raw material procurement strategy adjustment were carried out. With the implementation of order sales, the city's gauze order rate reached 70.2%. At the same time, through the comprehensive evaluation of customers, a high-quality customer sales policy was implemented, and a good upstream and downstream relationship was established between the enterprise and users, so that the ratio of high-quality customer sales was achieved. It reached 74.3%.

“Four Savings” achieves a steady increase in the “four savings”, namely, saving cotton, yarn saving, energy saving, and saving people.

Cotton. Through the reasonable setting of cotton control indicators for varieties, one-by-one process control, improve the rate of production, reduce the amount of cotton, reduce product costs. The single-combed species saved 30 kg/t of yarn compared to last year.

Festival yarn. Through reduction of yarn defects, guarantee of molding, control of yarn return, reduction of rags, and other means, the annual 100-meter-meter yarn consumption was reduced by about 0.52 kg compared with the technical index.

Energy saving. By adding frequency converters for high-power electrical appliances, using LED light sources, avoiding peak power-on, regular fixed-point centralized gas supply, return air utilization, coal-fired bidding and other measures, the annual energy consumption for electricity consumption is greatly increased, and coal consumption is higher than ever. Saves 30%.

Festival people. Through rational approval of personnel and labor, streamlining of management personnel, implementation of piece-rate wages, implementation of more work and more, elimination of outdated production capacity and other methods, one-third of staff reductions have been achieved, not only saving people but not reducing production, but also achieving work efficiency And pay is greatly improved.
