The Brazilian government said it will investigate whether China’s export of footwear products to the country has gone through Indonesia and Vietnam to evade paying customs duties on anti-dumping policies.
The Brazilian government stated that China is competing for exporting cheap shoes. Since last year, the tariff levied on each pair of shoes has been US$13.85.
