Hello everyone! I’m excited to share my tiny summer capsule wardrobe with you. For this season, I’ve chosen two of my all-time favorite Liesl + Co patterns: the Soho Shorts and the Metro T-shirt. This year, I’ve also included the Garibaldi Skirt in my lineup.

When putting together a capsule wardrobe, it's crucial to focus on cohesive colors and limit bold patterns. I’ve opted for a classic denim hue for the Soho Shorts, a soft stone shade for the Garibaldi Skirt, and a mix of berry fuchsia and crisp white for the Metro T-shirts. It’s all about creating pieces that work well together and feel versatile.

Let’s dive into the details. First up is the Soho Shorts, which remains my go-to Liesl + Co pattern. Over the years, I’ve crafted this design multiple times, and I know they’ll serve me well all year round. This time around, I made a size 12 in a super-fine dark denim without any adjustments. While sewing, I worried they might not be as comfortable as my other pairs, but once finished, I fell in love with them. They’re surprisingly comfy and can easily transition from casual hikes to professional settings. Perfect for holidays too!

Next, I created two Metro T-shirts. The white one is made from organic cotton, and the only tweak I made was skipping the hem—oops! By the time I got around to finishing it, I couldn’t resist wearing it as-is. Surprisingly, I ended up loving the raw edge look. For the fuchsia T-shirt, I used a lightweight viscose fabric and adjusted the neckline to make it slightly wider. To finish it off, I lined the new neckline with bias tape, inspired by the Gelato Blouse’s design.

Finally, I added the Garibaldi A-line skirt in a fine stretch denim. I chose option B in a medium length, size 12, with no modifications. My measurements were size 14 at the waist and 10-12 at the hips, so I went with a size 12 overall due to the slight stretch in the fabric. I think it was the perfect choice. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed wearing this piece all summer. Following Liesl’s tutorial, I plan to create another Garibaldi skirt next, this time bias-cut in a longer length for cooler weather.

In recent years, I’ve been gradually building my wardrobe with handmade pieces, many of which come from Liesl + Co patterns. Sewing has become somewhat meditative for me ever since I rediscovered it during a trip to Japan back in 2018. There’s something deeply satisfying about creating clothing tailored specifically to my preferences.

It can also be worn with exquisite feeling, highlighting elegance, and same-color series have a sense of high-end; intellectual freezing age wind, loose version, soft texture, and matching with same-color decorations, more gentle. A seemingly ordinary piece of clothing, as long as it is matched well, can also be worn in many styles. This is also our design concept. Denim clothing has always been at the forefront of fashion, but we have to stand out among many popular products. Part of it is due to the characteristics of our clothing, such as the durable and wear-resistant material of denim clothing. The design is also durable and resistant to dirt, and it is also suitable for many seasons, with a very wide range of applications. Denim clothing made of denim fabric is soft, wrinkle-resistant, and has good elasticity, making it comfortable to wear. A seemingly ordinary piece of clothing, as long as it is decorated with some accessories and matched well with the overall style of clothing, will give people a different feeling.
