July textile industry grew by 9.4% year-on-year

In July, the industrial added value of industries above designated size increased by 9.7% year-on-year (the growth rate of the following added value is the real growth rate after deducting price factors), which is 0.8 percentage point higher than that in June. From January to July, the industrial added value above designated size increased by 9.4% year-on-year. Among them, in July, the textile industry increased by 8.2% year-on-year, from January to July, the textile industry increased by 9.4% year-on-year.

In terms of economic types, in July, the added value of state-owned and state-controlled enterprises increased by 8.1% year-on-year, that of collective enterprises rose by 3.6%, that of joint-stock companies by 11.1%, and that of foreign-invested companies and Hong Kong, Malay, and Taiwanese companies by 7.9%.

In terms of sub-sectors, in July, the value added of 39 industries in 41 major industries maintained a year-on-year growth. Among them, the textile industry increased by 8.2%, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 12.4%, and the non-metallic mineral products industry increased by 12.5%.

From a regional perspective, in July, the added value of the eastern region increased by 8.8% year-on-year, the central region increased by 10.8%, and the western region increased by 11.5%.

From a product perspective, in July, 306 products out of 464 products increased year-on-year. Among them, the output of chemical fiber was 3.45 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%, and the production of chemical fiber from January to July was 23.35 million tons, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year.

In July, the sales rate of industrial enterprises was 98.4%, which was a 0.2 percentage point increase over the same period of the previous year. Industrial enterprises achieved export value of 917.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%.
